Simon is responsible for various programs within the World Bank Group. He specializes in helping entrepreneurship, ecosystem building and innovation in Africa and Asia. He participated in the launch of several innovation centers (Sahel Agribusiness & Innovation Center, Mauritania Climate Innovation Center) and in the acceleration program XL Africa in 2017

Thomas is project manager, in charge of funding solution at CIPMEN. He is specialized on entrepreneurship and start-ups funding. During his studies at ESCE, he developed a growing interest for African markets and start-up ecosystem on the continent. He founded a student association, AEDA (student association for development in Africa), to promote this economy towards management schools students.

Wilhelm “Moonshot” Faaga

Wilhelm’s first name stands for Will + Helm. Wilhelm is also a lunar impact crater in the southern part of the Moon, which explain is nickname “Moonshot”. Faaga, his family name, means light in More (a local language spoken by the majority of the population in Burkina Faso). He is a Diaspora, modern and proud of his origins on the continent. He is originally from Mossi, Burkina Faso. Age: 25 years. His superpower is obviously speed and his ability to accelerate and bend time and space for startups to turn into scaleups or help technology leapfrog.
